Dental Laser (Rep. of Korea)
A Korean company offers technology for manufacturing compact dental lasers. The laser was developed for treating hard tissue (teeth), e.g. caries removal or cavity preparation, as well as for use in soft tissue surgery. The dual-head laser of Er:YAG and Nd:YAG series can operate on three wavelengths, namely 1.06 µm, 1.32 µm and 2.94 µm. It size is similar to that of one-wavelength laser currently available on the market. The wavelength selection is done from the control panel. Each pulse duration and repetition rates were carefully selected to ensure best efficiency.
