ZigBee Home Network System
ZigBee is one of wireless standards for constructing wireless networks used for adjustable lighting, security devices and other purposes in homes and offices, one of the characteristics of which is the low electricity consumption of linked devices. ZigBee devices have low electricity consumption, consuming two AA Alkaline batteries over several years. ZigBee system is combination of ‘homeRF light’ with 802.15.4 technology, as a next-generation ‘homeRF’ technology officially launched this January. 802.11b, or the 2.4G? frequency band range of wireless phones, microwave ovens, etc. is used, and 255 sets of the devices may be linked to one network. It may transmit data at a speed of 250Kbps within a 30m radius. At this point, the related standards have not yet been officially established, but mobile phones, parts production companies and others requiring a low power consumption and low cost solution are now developing this.
