Pharmaceutical Composition of Ketorolac
The technology provides a prolonged release injectable preparation of ketorolac using ketorolac free acid or its salts. The liquid injectable dosage forms include stabilizers, complexing agents, antoxidants, preservatives, isotonicifiers, solubilizers, viscosity modifying agents, pH modifying agents and vehicles. The prolonged release of ketorolac is achieved by using a rate-retarding agent in vegetable oil (carrier medium). The sustained release of water soluble drugs is aimed at reducing the frequency of administration ofinjectable ketorolac formulations per day, for analgesic treatment. The technology further help in decreasing the side effects associated with parenteral therapy of ketorolac.
