Novel Screening Methods for Antifungal Compounds
The propose technology suggests a protocol for screening new molecules for target specific antifungal agent. The protocol comprises of using in vitro as well as in-silico methods for the screening and identification of compounds that inhibit HIS4 expression in the fungi. The protocol may be used as a standard operating procedure (SOP) or as a template for screening new class of target specific antifungal agents, antibacterial agents, anti cancer agent etc. Further, Quantitative structure activity relationship (QSAR) model is used to screen compound library. QSAR is a useful method for the design of bioactive compounds and the prediction of activity from the parameters calculated from chemical structure of compound popularly known as descriptors. These experimental and in-silico methods are useful in making molecular comparisons, and for constructing models to predict biological activity of new molecules.
