Sterile Protein Composition Method
The present technology to provide a stabilized protein composition and also cost effective, easy and safe process for stabilization of protein against heat denaturation and to prevent aggregation of lysozyme. Two main approaches have been tried to stabilize proteins viz. modification of protein structure and addition of excipients. Modification of structure involves changing the amino acid composition or sequence to enhance stability, but may-result in loss of biological activity. Addition of additives to change the solvent properties of protein, however, addition of such excipients can result in further challenges e.g. cost escalation and also complication of removal of the excipients added during final stages of purification of the protein. This technology resolves the above problems in the process of protein stabilization. The technology comprises a lysozyme and buffering agent along with stabilizing agent to provide a stabilized protein composition without loss of biological activity and cost escalation. The stabilized protein composition includes a buffering agent to maintain the pH of the solution in the range of 6-7.
