APCTT provides on-demand technical support, policy advice and capacity building in areas identified by member states for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The emphasis is placed on building modules and conducting capacity building events in the “Training-of-trainers” (TOT) mode, so that member States can further institutionalise this content into their own national TOT systems. Additionally, APCTT also facilitates capacity-building services on emerging technologies for member States.
Following are APCTT's capacity-building initiatives:
Expert Group Meetings
EGMs gather expertise and experiences from member States in promoting the adoption of climate technologies. Policymakers, technical experts and relevant stakeholders involved in climate technologies participate in the EGMs. APCTT organizes such EGMs on a regular basis.
Inter-Governmental Events
APCTT facilitates dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration among Asia-Pacific governments, enabling policymakers and experts to address challenges, exchange best practices, and develop strategies for technology transfer, innovation, and sustainable development.
Workshops and Conclaves
Such capacity building initiatives serve as dynamic platforms for hands-on learning, and strategic discussions. These events bring together diverse stakeholders, including policymakers, industry experts, and researchers, to address key challenges in technology transfer and innovation within the Asia-Pacific region. Workshops focus on practical skills development and knowledge exchange, fostering technical expertise and collaboration. Conclaves, on the other hand, are high-level meetings designed for strategic dialogue, enabling participants to discuss broader policy frameworks, identify emerging opportunities, and build networks that support sustainable development goals.
